Everything you need to know about shipping on PrimeLot Cards
Overview
At PrimeLot Cards, shipping is handled directly between buyers and sellers. Sellers are responsible for shipping sold items promptly and securely, while buyers can track their shipments every step of the way.
Seller Shipping Requirements
Shipping Timeline
Sellers must ship items within 3 business days of receiving payment.
Failure to ship within this timeframe may result in automatic cancellation and refund to the buyer, and may negatively impact your seller standing.
Tracking Requirements
- •Tracking is Mandatory:
All shipments must include a tracking number. This protects both buyers and sellers by providing proof of shipment and delivery.
- •Upload Tracking:
Upload your tracking number to the transaction in your dashboard. Buyers will automatically receive an email with tracking information.
- •Accepted Carriers:
USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Canada Post, and other major shipping carriers
Packaging Standards
Sellers must package cards securely to prevent damage during transit:
Individual Cards
- • Use penny sleeves for basic protection
- • Place cards in top loaders or card savers
- • Use team bags for multiple cards
- • Wrap in bubble wrap or cardboard
- • Use rigid mailers or small boxes
Bulk Lots
- • Organize cards in stacks or boxes
- • Wrap stacks with rubber bands/plastic wrap
- • Use bubble wrap liberally
- • Choose appropriately sized boxes
- • Fill empty space with packing material
Warning: Poor packaging that results in damaged cards may lead to refund claims and negative impacts on your seller account.
Shipping Costs
PrimeLot Cards uses a streamlined shipping process:
- •Buyers pay $14.95 for shipping at the time of purchase
- •Sellers purchase shipping labels directly through the website after sale
- •Tracking numbers are automatically updated on the listing for both buyers and sellers
Buyer Shipping Information

Tracking Your Order
Shipping Address
Make sure your shipping address is accurate:
- •Update your shipping address in Settings before purchasing
- •Double-check address before completing checkout
- •Contact seller immediately if you need to change address after purchase
Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments
Lost Packages
If tracking shows your package as lost or undelivered:
- 1.Wait until the expected delivery window has passed
- 2.Contact the seller to inquire about the shipment
- 3.Seller can file a claim with the shipping carrier
- 4.If unresolved, file a support ticket within the 2-day protection window
Damaged Shipments
If cards arrive damaged, file a buyer protection claim and we'll investigate:
- 1.Take photos/video of the damaged packaging and cards immediately
- 2.Keep all packaging materials
- 3.Submit a buyer protection claim with evidence within the 2-day protection window
- 4.We'll investigate to determine if damage was due to inadequate packaging (seller responsible) or carrier mishandling (carrier claim required)
Significant Delays
If your package hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe:
- •Check tracking for updates or delivery exceptions
- •Contact your local post office or carrier
- •Message the seller for assistance
- •File a support ticket if the issue persists
Seller Protection
Sellers are protected when they follow proper shipping procedures:
- •Tracking Proof:
Upload tracking to prove shipment. If tracking shows delivery, you're protected from "item not received" claims.
- •Proper Packaging:
Package cards according to best practices. If damage occurs in transit despite proper packaging, you may not be liable.
- •Shipping Insurance:
Protect your shipments with optional insurance powered by XCover. Costs just 1.25% of the item value (e.g., $3.13 for a $250 card). Required for items $250+, optional but recommended for items $100+.
⚠️ Important: Without insurance, you assume full responsibility for lost or damaged shipments. Insurance covers loss, damage, and theft during shipping.
Shipping Insurance (Powered by XCover)
Protect your valuable shipments with optional shipping insurance. Coverage starts when your package leaves your address and ends when it's delivered.
⚠️ Important: Seller Liability Without Insurance
If you choose not to purchase insurance, you assume full responsibility for the shipment. This means:
- •If the package is lost in transit, you may not receive your payout
- •If the package arrives damaged, you may be liable for a refund to the buyer
- •If the package is stolen during shipping, you bear the financial loss
Insurance is your protection - without it, you bear all the risk.
